A Trust for Māori by Māori

Te Pūtahi-Nui-o-Rehua (TPNoR) is a charitable trust (CC58534) established for the benefit of Charitable purpose in New Zealand and more particularly in the rohe of Te Tai Tokerau (The Far North District).

Kaupapa

Our purpose is to lead, innovate, create and support Māori approaches to whānau, hapū, and iwi development.

Te Ao Māori

Te Ao Māori is our worldview thereby, placing tikanga and Matauranga Māori at the centre of our vision, purpose, and operations.

Whāinga

Our goal is to support the creation of health, wealth and wellbeing of whānau for future generations.

Sharon brings her wealth of 40+ years of experience in Social Services, Counselling, Corrections, Youth Justice, Education and Whanau Ora.

Megan brings a suite of experience in Social Services and Whanau Ora. Megan is well-known and a respected champion connector within her community.

'He uri ahau no Ngati Pakau, ratou ko Ngati Te Rauwawe, ko Ngati Hurihanga ko Te Mahurehure oku hapu Ko Nga Puhi te iwi. I enjoy working with my whanau/ hapu/ marae and iwi. I am committed to supporting our Maori whanau to aspire beyond their potential.'

Eddie has been working in support advocacy for the past 2 years with the trust. Previously to this he was an administrator at an early learning centre and has held multiple positions in retail and sales.

Mere joins us with her 12 years experience in caregiving with kaumaatua and kuia. She also has eight years experience in Whanau Ora and pastoral care.

Charissa brings years of experience working in trade and retail, together with a vision for our people of intergenerational housing prosperity to coordinate Tiheiwa, as part of a broader housing strategy which aims to support whanau into housing on their ancestral whenua.

Phillippa Hulmes

Phillippa is an experienced provider of social services and housing. She brings her hard working, kaupapa-focussed style to support whanau with their housing challenges, whether it is navigating the Māori land court, managing housing repairs, or developing papakainga.

Marise Kerehi Stuart

Co-Founder, Trustee

Marise has worked with Māori and non-Māori, indigenous and non-indigenous groups internationally; across public and private health and social entities, within governance, operations and investment roles. Her ultimate aim is to realise a vision where any Māori child is capable of achieving their hopes and aspirations, and premises that free and full participation in economic environments is essential to realising wellbeing.

Chartered Accountant, Trustee

With experience as a management accountant for Fulton Hogan; Major Māori Accounting Firm Glen Hawkins Associates; and now Māori Mental Health & Social Service provider Tipu Ora and Te Utuhina Manaakitanga Trust in Rotorua; Brad brings a wealth of relevant management accounting experience to support the tikanga and aspirations of Te Pūtahi-Nui-o-Rehua.

Carrie Stoddart-Smith

Trustee

Carrie serves on several local, national, and international boards, bringing an Indigenous perspective to international trade, economic research, and advocacy. She founded her business, OpinioNative, to elevate Indigenous Peoples' knowledge and perspectives in global forums and is about to embark on her PhD in Indigenous Trade and Economies.
